Bramham Park

Bramham Park is a Grade I listed 18th-century country house, situated in a 500-acre landscaped park.

It was built in 1698 for Robert Benson, 1st Baron Bingley. It has remained in the ownership of Benson's descendants since its completion in 1710. Both the House and Landscape are open, by appointment, for most of the year - although it is advised to ring to arrange your visit.

According to Coxe, Bramham Park is haunted by the the sounds of horses "galloping in the dell near the cricket pitch". He attributes this to those who fled from the Battle of Bramham in 1408.
